Day 1: Welcome to Nairobi, Kenya’s Bustling Capital
Once you arrive at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you’ll be warmly received by HTT Operations Manager, who will give you a short brief of your safari. You will then be transferred by private vehicle to Villa Rosa Kempinski located in the heart of Westlands, Nairobi's commercial, retail and entertainment suburb about 20 kilometers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Depending on when you arrive, you may have time to explore the city and its attractions.
Day 2: Panoramic Views of Mount Kilimanjaro at Amboseli
Today start your safari experience to the majestic Amboseli National Park. The short flight to Amboseli is mesmerizing. We’ll fly over the Athi plains, catching a glimpse of the sweeping vistas of the spell binding scenic hills and as we approach, be welcomed by the snowy peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.
We'll explore the vastness of Amboseli from Tortilis Camp, a small and private and offers amazing views, service and game drives. With the majestic backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, the camp is widely regarded as the prime location for witnessing the majesty of snow-capped Kilimanjaro. It even has a dining room that overlooks the mountain. Eat in style.
Day 3: Mesmerising Full Day in Amboseli
After buffet breakfast, depart for a full day morning game drive with picnic lunch. This is the ideal time to venture on a game drive as most animals are roaming the plains enjoying the cool of the day.
Day 4: from Amboseli to Meru National Park
Buffet breakfast at Tortilis Luxury camp. Drop off at Amboseli airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport. Thereafter you will board another flight to Meru National Park. Meru National Park is wild and beautiful. The Park is most famous for the Joy Adamson's autobiography "Born Free" a film has since been produced based on the same book about her research and life with lions and cheetahs.
Day 5: Enjoy the Whole Day in Meru National Park
Today you will spend and enjoy your stay at Meru National Park. You will enjoy your morning and afternoon game drive in the park.
Game to view include: Lion, Elephant, Cheetah, Leopard, Black Rhino, Zebra, Gazelle, Oryx and some of the rarer Antelope Lesser Kudu and Duiker also the more common Dik Dik one of Africa's smallest antelope.
Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve, 8th Wonder of the World.
Today after breakfast, we'll depart the beautiful Elsa Kopje in Meru for the equally elegant 1920s Cottars Camp in Maasai Mara Game Reserve, the 8th Wonder of the World and home of the wildebeest migration. Game drives, cultural visits, bush dinners, sundowners, scenic flights and balloon rides at Cottars makes for a wonderful African safari.
Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Other animals that can be spotted here include hippos, cheetahs, gazelles, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, dik-dik, and warthogs among others.
Day 7/8: Spend Whole Day at Maasai Mara National
Spend two exciting days in the Maasai Mara. On each day, wake up for a refreshing hot cup of coffee or tea. Then depart for a morning game drive to explore the Mara plains and its intriguing wildlife. You can also opt to hop on a hot air balloon, which is a truly fun and exciting way to see Africa's landscapes and wildlife.
The trip is magical: spend about one hour floating over the Mara plains. You float in the sky, drift with the whim of the wind, overlooking the plains, just in time to experience a breathtaking sunrise and catch a bird’s eye view of the reserve.
Day 9: from Maasai Mara to Nairobi and Onward
This is your last day of safari. You'll wake up for a buffet breakfast. After check out, be driven to the Mara airstrip and as you fly above the plains say goodbye to the sights and sounds of the Mara Plains below as you hold on to the memories of the last few days and mentally plan for your return.
